Washing toddlers' hair without tears - tips & tricks
Washing hair can be an unpleasant experience for many children, associated with tears and resistance. But there are ways to turn this daily task into a stress-free and pleasant routine.

Tips & tricks
1. It helps to respond to your child's fears and talk to them calmly. Perhaps let them check the water temperature before showering or give them the shower head themselves. This gives your child the feeling that they have more control over what is happening.
2. Sometimes it helps to give the child a dry flannel to hold in front of their face while showering. This prevents water from running into the eyes. Alternatively, a pair of goggles can also help. It is generally important to use a special children's shampoo, such as our DRECKSPATZ and Sandmännchen shower gels. With their mild formula, the shampoos do not sting the eyes and the hair is easy to comb through.
3. Make sure there is also a bit of entertainment while washing the hair. Perhaps hold a small mirror in your child's hand while you lather their hair and make funny foam hairstyles.
It is also advisable to offer your child the prospect of a small reward or praise for tear-free hair washing. Over time, they will develop a positive association with the ritual and washing their hair will become a routine for you and your child.
