Care and bathing tips for children
Bathing children can be more than just a routine - it also offers the perfect opportunity for fun and games in the water. With the right tips and a little creativity, bath time can quickly be turned into an exciting adventure that will delight children. From colorful bath toys to fun bubble baths, there are many ways to turn bath time into a joyful experience. In this article, we show how parents can keep their children entertained while bathing, while also ensuring thorough cleaning.

Can't I also bathe my children with a bubble bath for adults?
Better not, because children's skin is different from our adult skin. For example, the corneal layer is not yet as well developed and children's skin therefore reacts more sensitively to external stimuli. This is why all care products should be particularly mild. Foam baths for adults are usually more strongly perfumed and have a higher dosage because a larger tub volume is assumed.
Does it really have to be natural cosmetics?
Of course, this is entirely up to the parents. We believe that children's skin should not be exposed to unnecessary irritants. If your child already has a skin disorder, you should of course also pay particular attention to the compatibility of natural cosmetics and, if in doubt, consult your paediatrician. And yes, natural cosmetics are a little more expensive. But there is a lot of good in it, because the selection of raw materials is subject to very strict criteria.

From what age are Dresdner Essenz children's products suitable for children?
Our DRECKSPATZ and Naturally Healthy Feeling bath additives are suitable for children from kindergarten age, i.e. for children from the age of three. Our "Zusammen ist's schön" family bubble bath alone is suitable for children from the age of one. Our Sandman series, on the other hand, is suitable for younger children from the age of 1. You will always find the respective age information directly on our packaging.
Who are the products not suitable for?
Children with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients should not bathe in our bath additives. Bathing should also be avoided in the case of major skin injuries and acute skin diseases, severe febrile and infectious diseases, cardiac insufficiency and high blood pressure.

How long and how often are children allowed to bathe?
Children from the age of one may bathe for 5 to 10 minutes, children from the age of 3 for 10 to 20 minutes, with a maximum of two baths per week.
How hot can the water be?
As children are still very sensitive to temperature, do not use water that is too hot for bathing. 36 - 37 °C for children aged 1 and over and 36 - 38 °C for children aged 3 and over is a comfortable bathing temperature.
Help! My child is a shower/bath grouch
Personal hygiene for babies is still relatively "uncomplicated", as the little ones usually enjoy the regular grooming rituals. The situation can be quite different for children of (pre-)school age. Regular showering, bathing or washing hair can become a struggle for some parents. A few cheerful products with a colourful design and child-friendly fragrances can often help here.
Tips for special bathing fun for children
Let your child take toys into the bath with them. Small boats, moulds for scooping water, a small watering can or even a doll (preferably made of plastic) are particularly suitable.
Our bubble baths and 3in1 shower gels with large mountains of foam are also ideal for playing with: Blow foam, build funny foam figures and caves or even foamy face and head jewellery.
With the bubble cones and bubble tablets, a bubble effect when the tablet dissolves makes children's eyes light up.
Water pistols and water sprays in the bathtub are a particular highlight. But be careful: the water probably doesn't just stay in the bath.
