With its valuable ingredients such as thymol, flavonoids, tannins and bitter substances, it has become an indispensable part of herbal medicine. Thyme essential oil alone is a whole complex of high-quality substances and is used for colds, asthma and bronchitis to loosen mucus and make breathing easier. We at Dresdner Essenz feel a particular affinity with thyme, as it has long been used as an important active ingredient in Li-iL medicines. The main ingredient of the essential oil, thymol, can also inhibit the growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi in a natural way, making the oil a good support against infections.
