Solid shampoos for all hair types
Solid shampoo for dry hair
Dry hair craves moisturising care. Our „HYDRO Solid Shampoo Bar“ is just what you need! Valuable additives such as shea butter, castor oil and betaine moisturise dry hair and give it a natural shine. Sensitive scalps also benefit from this.
Solid shampoo for normal hair
Our „Solid Shampoo Bar Exotic Fruits“ has a heavenly summery scent and nourishing ingredients. Almond oil and aloe vera transform hair washing into a soothing ritual and give it an extra dose of freshness. As it contains fewer rich oils than the other varieties, it is also suitable for greasy hair.
Solid shampoo for dull hair
The name says it all: Our GLOW Solid Shampoo Bar nourishes dull hair with organic pomegranate seed extract and argan oil. This shampoo is perfect if your hair is dull or brittle. Thanks to its light formula and stimulating ingredients such as rosemary extract and menthol, you can also use it as a solid shampoo for fine hair.
Our tip: mini solid shampoo for when you're on the go
Solid shampoo is a real game changer when travelling: it takes up hardly any space, doesn't need to go in your toiletries bag and is completely leak-proof. Dresdner Essenz shampoos can also be dried anywhere thanks to their practical hanging strap. The „Solid mini shampoo Caribbean fruits” is also available in a handy mini format.
What you need to know about using our solid shampoos
As the shampoo is solid, it is used slightly differently to a classic liquid shampoo. With a little practice, however, it is just as quick and easy: wet your hair as usual and moisten the smapoo by holding it briefly under warm water. Then rub the solid shampoo between your hands to create a light lather. Now massage it into your scalp as usual and distribute the shampoo through your wet hair. Then rinse thoroughly - and you're done.
Tip: To make the shampoo last longer, you should let it dry thoroughly after use. It's best to use a soap dish with a drip function, such as our Soap Dish. When travelling, you can pack solid shampoo in a small tin.
That varies from person to person: some people notice a positive difference after the first use, while others need a transition period of one to two weeks. If you have been using a silicone-based shampoo, your hair may initially look a little dull or unfamiliar. This is normal, as your hair first needs to get used to the new, more natural care routine.
Tips for switching to solid shampoo
- Give your hair some time to remove old residues, especially silicones, which can form a film on the hair.
- Make sure you create enough lather - either in your hands or directly in your hair.
- Distribute the shampoo well and massage it in vigorously with your fingers.
- Take your time rinsing so that no residue remains in your hair. This is especially important for fine hair.
- If your hair looks dry after the switch, a silicone-free conditioner or leave-in product can help.
Solid shampoo is basically nothing more than liquid shampoo in solid form. It contains similar mild surfactants that clean the hair. It lathers as usual and usually has a skin-neutral pH value.
Hair soap, on the other hand, is a genuine soap product made by saponifiying oils and lye. The alkaline pH value can stress the hair structure in some people. Especially with hard water, hair soap often leads to dull hair or residue. Ultimately, it is a matter of preference whether solid shampoo or hair soap is better for you.
