Our tips for sleep problems
Restful sleep is very important for physical and mental health. Sleep problems can occur in various forms. They range from difficulty falling asleep to problems sleeping through the night. The causes of sleep problems are as varied as their manifestations. If there is no medical cause for sleep disorders, a few small changes in everyday life can help to improve the sleep situation. A regular sleep-wake rhythm is a first step, as it helps the body to develop an internal clock. Try to go to bed and get up at the same time every day, even at weekends. Create a pleasant sleeping environment that is dark, quiet and cool. Of course, a comfortable mattress and a good pillow are essential. Try to reduce your time in front of screens, especially before sleep. The blue light from smartphones or computers can disrupt the production of the sleep hormone melatonin. Instead, try relaxation exercises before going to bed, such as breathing exercises, meditation or a relaxing bath with herbal additives such as lavender, camomile, patchouli or similar.
calming and balancing
Lavender and bergamot are an unbeatable dream team in aromatherapy. The balsamic, aromatic scent of lavender has a calming effect on the nerves and is often used for sleep. The counterpart is the fresh and citrusy bergamot with a mood-lifting effect. This creates a relaxed and positive atmosphere before going to bed.
Epsom salt before going to bed
Our Relaxation & Sleep Bath Salt has a calming effect on the mind. The warm, relaxing effect of the bath can help to reduce stress and worry, calm the mind and promote deep relaxation. This can be particularly helpful for calming down before bedtime and promoting restful sleep. In the bath additive we use Epsom salt, which is rich in magnesium. Magnesium is an important mineral for the body and has a calming effect on muscle tension and nerves, among other things. The magnesium in Epsom salt can be absorbed through the skin when bathing and help to balance the magnesium level in the body, which in turn promotes relaxation and improves sleep.
