Tips for using soap and cleansing bars

Soap and cleansing bars require some getting used to. On this page, you can find some useful tips on using our LESS WASTE products.
Bathing Bar Soap Silky-Soft Oats

Use
Place the bath soap in the running bath water and use your hands to work it into a good lather while taking a bath. Then apply the foam on your body and savor the nurturing fragrance of oats, magnolia and vanilla milk. Let the bath soap dry well after use.
What do you do if there are lime deposits in the bath tub?
Under certain circumstances, the bath tub may look dull after taking a bath. This happens if your water has a high mineral content (hard water). The combination of soap and lime produces what is known as lime soap. Lime soap can, however, be easily removed with natural household cleaners, for example, vinegar-based cleaners or citric acid.

How do I properly store the cleansing bar?
Soap and cleansing bars are often used improperly. After use, the product should dry as well as possible and not be in constant contact with moisture. It often sits in a tray with leftover water on the sink. A cleansing bar that is wet encourages the growth of microorganisms. For this reason, a tray that drains is essential for hygienic storage.

Use
With your hands, work up a lather with the Shower Bar and then gently massage the foam into your body. Take a moment to enjoy the fragrance and then rinse it off with clean water. After use, be sure to let the cleansing bar dry off well.
What is the best way to store the Shower Care Bar?
In order for your cleansing bars to last a long time, be sure that they are stored in a dry state after use. A soap tray that allows water to drain is particularly convenient.
The LESS WASTE products are also ideal for air travel as they may be brought aboard in hand luggage. Suitable cases for storing the bars can be purchased at retail outlets to ensure that they are stored in a dry state.

Solid Facial Bar Silky-Smooth Cotton

Application
Use the Facial Cleansing Bar in the morning and evening. Work the cleansing bar into a lather in your hands first and then gently massage the foam into your face. Then rinse your face off with clean water. After use, the cleansing bar should dry properly.
Is the Facial Cleansing Bar suitable for dry, sensitive skin?
The cleansing bar gently cleans your face using soap-free surfactants and clay. Its skin-friendly pH of 5.5 and natural care ingredients like almond oil and aloe vera also make it perfect for dry, sensitive skin.
Does the Facial Cleansing Bar remove make-up?
The Facial Cleansing Bar thoroughly cleans your face and also removes make-up. However, the product is not suitable for removing eye make-up. In this case, we recommend using alternative cleaning products, which have been specially tested for the sensitive area around your eyes.
Solid Shampoo Bar Exotic Fruits

Use
Wet the Shampoo Bar and then work up a lather over your wet hair. Alternatively, you can also rub the Shampoo Bar in your wet hands and work up a lather that way. Gently massage the shampoo from the root to the tip of your hair and then rinse it out thoroughly. Let the cleansing bar dry well after use.
How many times can the shampoo bar be used?
The shampoo bar is equivalent to about 1-2 300ml bottles of liquid shampoo. However, how long it lasts depends to a large degree on the length of your hair and how much you use.
Why does the Shampoo Bar develop less of a lather than liquid shampoo?
The Shampoo Bar generally tends to work up as much of a lather as liquid shampoos. To wash your hair, all you have to do is take a little more time to work up the same amount of lather. To do so, the product needs moisture and friction. Using a massage glove or a sponge to work up a lather makes this easier. However, one can say in general that not that much foam is needed to clean your hair. Excessive foam is more likely to dry out your hair and scalp.
Does your hair need time to get used to the Shampoo Bar?
Depending on what kind of liquid shampoo you used before, your hair may need some time to get used to our Shampoo Bar. For example, many liquid shampoos contain silicones that make your hair feel soft. Our Shampoo Bar contains no such substances. If you used liquid shampoos that were sold as natural cosmetics before and, as a result, did not contain any silicones, then there is a good chance you will hardly notice any difference when using the Shampoo Bar.
