Preparation and Use
40g of powder concentrates = 200ml of care products
Mix your product in your own home – with our Less Waste powder concentrates. Plan at least half an hour before you use the product.
This is how it works:

Fill the Dresdner Essenz bottle with 160ml (see marking) of warm water (approx. 40°C). Alternatively, you can also use another clean, resealable container that holds 250ml.

Cut open the pack of powder concentrate along the marked edge. Then carefully add the product to the bottle filled with water. Please do not directly inhale the concentrate powder as it can irritate your respiratory tract. For those sensitive to smells, we recommend to wear mouth and nose protection when adding the concentrate to the bottle.

Reseal the bottle and shake it for about a minute.

Let the product sit for at least half an hour, this will also allow any foam in the bottle to settle.
Frequently asked questions:
Does water hardness have any effect on the quality of the product?
The concentrates can be used with all water hardnesses. However, caution should be exercised in countries with poor water quality. If you are not able to drink the water out of the tap, please also do not use it to prepare your care product. Instead, use mineral water or boiled water.
Should you use warm or cold water to prepare the product?
We recommend using warm water with a temperature of 40 C to mix the powder so that it dissolves as quickly as possible.
How much shower gel, shampoo or hand soap do you get from one concentrate pack?
When mixed with 160ml of water, a 40g shower gel, shampoo or hand soap concentrate will produce 200ml of liquid product that you can use (up) as usual.
What should you do if the color and/or the consistency of the mixed concentrate changes?
The mixed Less Waste concentrates are sensitive to light and temperature. Prolonged exposure of the product to direct light may cause it to develop a yellow tinge. The product is still safe to use. The ideal room temperature for the products is between 22–25 C. In the event the finished product becomes too thick or contains white flakes, the room temperature may be too low. The product will return to its original consistency if you place it on the heater or in a warmer environment for a short period of time. If any white streaks are visible, you can shake the mixture briefly to restore the solution.
Why isn’t the product bottle entirely full after mixing the concentrate?
Shaking the bottle after adding water is an important part of the mixing process. In order to do so, a certain amount of space is needed to shake the mixture so that the mixing process works as intended. If you use your own bottle, it should have a volume of 250ml.
How can I reuse the bottle?
Once the concentrate has been used up, the bottle and lid must be thoroughly rinsed off with hot water. Afterwards, they are ready to be reused.
Can I use my own bottles for the concentrates?
With Less Waste products, we care about preventing packaging waste. Of course, you can also use your own bottles for our concentrates. The important part is that the container is clean. No bottles for food or bottles that could be confused with food may be used. It is recommended that you use a bottle that holds 250ml as it is essential that you still have some space left in the bottle for shaking.
How long do Less Waste concentrates last?
The concentrates should be used up within three months of being mixed. Please hold onto the packaging of the powder concentrate until you have used up the mixed product. If there is something wrong with the product, we, as the manufacturer, can perform a quality check based on the lot number. To better keep track of the product’s storage life, we also recommend that you note the mixing date on the packaging.
