Camomile
Chamomile is undoubtedly one of the most prominent medicinal plants. Already in ancient times, it was used in many ways to alleviate numerous complaints. The healing properties of Chamomilla recutita or Matricaria chamomilla (scientifically) - extend to internal and external use. Chamomile flowers are used to make teas, steam baths, tinctures, oils and creams.
In cosmetics, chamomile extracts and essential oil are particularly valued for their soothing, deodorising and antibacterial properties. The plant extracts of camomile have a relaxing effect on stressed or irritated skin, which is why they are preferably used in products for sensitive, blemished or sun-stressed skin types.
