Mint
Field mint (Mentha arvensis) is the "wild version" of the well-known peppermint and is characterised by a particularly high menthol content. This menthol is responsible for the intense scent that the mint exudes. Essential mint oil is valued for its many properties, especially in the respiratory tract. For example, a steam bath with mint oil is recommended for a blocked nose.
Mint oil promotes concentration
Essential mint oil is extracted from the leaves of the mint plant by steam distillation. Its stimulating and refreshing effect helps to promote alertness and increase concentration and focus. The scent of mint can invigorate the senses and give new mental clarity. A notable aspect of mint oil is its cooling and refreshing effect, which is often used to relieve headaches. Here, diluted mint oil is applied to the temples to achieve the desired effect. These invigorating properties make the oil a natural source of new energy.
