Reduce
The Less-Waste powder concentrates are transported in 40 g sachets and mixed with water at home to make 200 ml of ready-to-use product. This means that the product fill weight to be transported is lower than that of a pre-mixed 200 ml liquid product. The weights of the respective packaging materials are not taken into account in this comparison.
Reuse
The Dresdner Essenz bottles, as well as other bottles in your household, can be used multiple times to mix the products.
The refill bottles available in our online shop are made from recycled PET (excluding the cap). This gives plastic waste a useful second life and avoids the need to produce new plastic.
Recycle
The pouch is made from a mono-material, meaning it consists of a single type of plastic. Once completely empty, it can be placed in the appropriate recycling collection system in accordance with local disposal guidelines. Whether the material is actually recycled depends on the local collection, sorting and recycling infrastructure.

At European level, there is a legally binding definition of microplastics. The REACH Regulation covers what are known as synthetic polymer microparticles. Put simply, these are solid synthetic polymer particles of a certain size, generally 5 mm or smaller. The polymers concerned may include, for example, polyethylene, polypropylene or polyamide. Scientific publications and environmental organisations may also use broader definitions that include certain water-insoluble or swellable polymers.
